This research monograph contributes to the fields of peace education, post conflict resolution, peacebuilding and conflict analysis by providing the first in-depth scholarly analysis of the Education for Peace program in Bosnia and Herzegovina by an independent scholar and researcher. It also provides an important systematic study of the “mainstreaming” process of peace education in post-conflict zones and the first substantial study to examine the interface between the substance of a program and the political process whereby they are tried, adopted, modified and finally mainstreamed.

This research work is an account of the assessment methods of Waldorf elementary school teachers. It also offers a full discussion Waldorf programs for teacher education, teacher evaluation systems, and requirements for school accreditation—these are what the Waldorf community submits as assurance that Waldorf teachers’ classroom assessments are valid, fair, and reliable.

This book is a meditation on isolation and community through the study of literary treatments of the theme. The treatments are fanciful rather than literal or clinical accounts of exile from society, myths, fables, tales of men without women on desert islands. Ella Young (1867-1956) the Irish poet, Celtic mythologist and author presents a number of problems to any researcher—she not only lived an Irish life of almost 60 years but she went on to have a dramatically different life in California that lasted over 30 years until her death. She also managed to write an autobiography that labeled her in many eyes as a Bohemian free spirit and not a a scholar with a vast knowledge of Irish myth and Celtic lore.

The volume provides a rare opportunity to launch a dialogue among historians working on the theme by examining different societies and chronological periods. It is often a case that the studies of the construction of memory of wars are geographically bound to specific countries. Such a focus narrows a historical inquiry to the experience of a single nation or a region and hinders a dialogue among historians.

This soon to be released monograph evaluates the role of the social media in strengthening and transforming religious identities in the aftermath of the Arab Spring. Focusing specifically on Bahrain, this study assesses how the sectarian interpretation of the protests exacerbated social divisions and reverberated around the Middle East intensifying sectarian loyalties. The social media contribute to negotiation and re-construction of the collective identities of the groups involved in the 2011 uprising, which is visible through their online manifestations.
